Ummm. You DO realize Doubleday had nothing to do with the founding of baseball, right?

Actually, I'm not surprised that song is already a sports anthem somewhere. How could it not be? It's just I haven't heard it used at the sporting events I've been to. Of course, I DO live in the middle of nowhere…

You just made me laugh out loud with that visual.

Of course, you could go with "Conquest of Paradise," but I know that's been done already.

Just as long as it's not "Crazy Train." I got so fucking sick of that song this summer watching our local team play.

Just played "Alpha," and yes, you'd have to walk in VERY slowly. Takes too long to get going (but so does the 2001 theme).

Ooh! Ooh! I know! "Rock the Casbah!"

Ooh! Ooh! I know! "Rock the Casbah!"

Yes, yes it is. I'm surprised no one's mentioned "Seven Nation Army."

I like that you didn't question my use of the word flummox.

Like what? "Pachuco Cadaver?," "Dachau Blues?," "Party of Special Things to Do?" The fans would be thoroughly flummoxed.

"Thus Spake Zarathustra," (Also known as the theme from 2001). Or would that be too hyperbolic? Also, what young punk would know what the hell was being played?

How about "The Love Bean?"

He always looked like the old one, anyway. Compared to Kurt and Dave, Novaselic looked like the band's accountant.

I've always like my women big'n'tall. Tall, first and foremost. Maybe it's because I've always wanted giant children. I got my wish.

GODDAMN!!!
I always thought Flansburgh looked like my dad, circa 1962. Now that he's sporting a mini-goatee and soul patch, he looks like my dad circa 1973. If he starts loosing his hair, he'll look like my dad TODAY! I swear, he could be a long-lost uncle to me.

@ Conrad Brain:

I agree with TooLazy… I've loved jazz since about the time the photo to the left was taken of me. I don't remember having to work at appreciating it, I just loved it, period. As for a jazz primer TooLazy put together. It's a great list, but you have to . . . HAVE TO . . . include Kind of Blue in there.

SWEET JESUS!!! I make one reference to MST3K and I'm INUNDATED with references to Rifftrax. Shows how out-of-touch I am that I've never heard of this. Dammit, I've got to stop working so hard and start wasting a LOT more time on the Internet.
