Inception was fantastic, Tron Legacy and Social Network are very good too.

The Other Guys didn't work that well because Ferrel was called upon to play the Straight Guy and the Crazy Guy whenever the script decided. The dynamic didn't work great, but it did have a few laughs, though the final third was just all plot and shooting which was fucking boring.

Warren, yeah, scenes like TAKE A HIT OF THIS JEOFFREY IT'LL CALM YOU DOWN were fucking high-larious.

Comedies of 2010
I can't think of many good ones… Scott Pilgrim and I Love You Philip Morris are up top, followed pretty closely by Hot Tub Time Machine. I got genuine laughs and more fun than not from them.

Pirates of the Carribbean: Monkey Island
So… they went there.

Season 5 opener
…was so thoroughly boring I remember coming back and checking that the review on here wasn't glowing… but it was and I remained confused. In fact I remained so confused on the matter that I decided to not watch any more episodes and just glance at the ratings of each episode. When I saw the poor

The Wire: Port Of Call New Orleans
*golf clap that builds into thunderous applause*

Goddamn yes, White Russians
I drink these with alcoholic-level regularity.

Weakest Season By Far
It amazes me that people think this weak-ass season with a scene chewing guest star somehow trumps the character development and complex yet believable situation that Dexter found himself in with Miguel. Becoming buddies with a serial killer, getting into the family home so quickly and easily,

And some more:

10. King of Kong

I think people reading humour (beyond the blackest of gallows humour) into the ending are being a bit optimistic, if anything it's the Coen's capricious cruelty rearing its head as just when things were starting to go back on track, the immediate "reaction" to his "action" of changing the grade is a tornado that may

I felt really puzzled when the credits rolled because it was a critically acclaimed movies that a number of my good friends (whose opinions I trust) also loved. I was totally disconnected from its preponderous tone and glacial pace throughout the entire movie and was wondering when it was going to "get good".

It's a top 20 for sure.

In Bruges was a steaming pile of shit and should be used as an audiovisual torture device to replace waterboarding.

LTROI was cosmically boring and I am very happy to see it nowhere near the top 50. Just because the Vampire genre is staler than a month old corpse does not mean that by setting it in typical nothing-happens Eurotrash world makes it compelling. As a coming of age story, it lacks several key milestones as the character

Best Season of Dexter?
I dunno, possibly Season 2 with the Doakes storyline and how it all came to a head, but the Lila and Rita shit was so fucking painful in that one and the conclusion robbed us of any real satisfaction.

10.000 KHz was a very divisive album when it was released but I reckon it's definitely improved with age.

Had no idea this was due…
Will have to seek out immediately. I go through love and hate cycles with most their albums outside of Moon Safari and 10,000 KHz, none of the others have the same inherent catchiness.
