You underestimate how stupid they are when it comes to picking US imports. We're unlikely to ever get Community beyond season 1, but e4 was happy to pick up PERFECT COUPLES and CHARLIE'S ANGELS. (yeah, seriously)

True. I'm not saying Bleach is a work of artistic genius, far from it, but I think there is enough there for someone reasonably talented to make a fun popcorn movie.

You could make a pretty good movie out of adapting Bleach. This will not be it.

He is making another Blood and Ice Cream film with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, which I imagine he will direct before this.
