Out of morbid curiousity, I recently Netflix'ed the 1967 Casino Royale. After 10 minutes, my wife looked at me with horror when she realized my intention to get through the whole thing.

This is kind of surprising, considering that mass-promotional tie-ins with merchandise designed for kids had been around since at least 1964's 'Goldfinger'.  It's interesting that it took more than a decade for the studios to really pick up on it.

I'm kind of surprised noone's mentioned 'Get Shorty' yet.  I thought that was pretty good, for what it's worth.  'Be Cool' was pretty lousy, though.

Inspector Gadget.  I couldn't stand it as a kid.  It was just way too formulaic, even in a genre (cartoons) that was known for sticking to a formula.

"Beetlejuice" the cartoon bugged me, because they never explained where Barbara and Adam Maitland (i.e. the freakin' protagonists of the movie) had vanished to.
