I hadn't thought of that, but I'd bet cash money it wasn't intentional.

Oh, this is the kind of thing real Trek fans can fanwank in their sleep.

Anyone else catch Zack's hypertext on the picture of Data?  Genius.

I wish I'd sufficiently planned ahead to get beer, but the wine is great and will give me a terrible hangover tomorrow morning - which I feel that under the circumstances is apropos.

I think The Search for Spock holds up quite nicely.  It's not a Khan-caliber work of genius, but it's a fun little ride that doesn't overstay its welcome.

Mr. Plinkett does a great job on the Star Wars films, but I think his reviews of the Star Trek films get too nitpicky.  For example, he spends a lot of time in both First Contact and Nemesis critiquing the set dressing.

So, was there anything good about Nemesis?  I like the dinner scene between Picard and Shinzon, and the Remans were a pretty cool new race.

I assume that Zack will inform us when he logs in.

Ladies and gentleman, Mr. Khanthrok Bonechewer is strapped in and ready to go.  I have a full bottle of Cabernet, the $2.99 Amazon rental, and 800 miles to go to Chicago.  Let's roll.

I prefer histograms, or at the very least, a tornado diagram.

After this story…  I kind of wish I had your life.

With regard to the white dress uniforms: man oh man is that opening scene unwatchable.  I think it's the worst scene in the film.

My roommate and I watched the entire run of the Mrs. Peel-era of 'The Avengers' a few years back, and were quite surprised that how the two main characters are very different than are commonly remembered.

Yes.  Everyone immediately agrees that fighting the So'na and disobeying direct orders is the correct and obvious thing to do.  What a great scene.

Man, I think DS9 should win.  Remember:
-In the Hands of the Prophets
-The Way of the Warrior
-…Nor the Battle to the Strong
-Trials and Tribble-ations
-In Purgatory's Shadow (part 1)
-In Inferno's Light (part 2)
-Who Mourns for Morn?
-Treachery, Faith, and the Great River
-It's Only a Paper Moon
-What You Leave Behind

I agree.  I think V is very much in the 'so bad, it's good' category, unlike the Movie that Shall Not be Named, which is 'so bad, it's misery-inducing'.

Oh, come come.  Uhura not only got a romance subplot, but she also got to repeatedly shoot down the protagonist.  Not to mention the fact that she oozes charisma in that picture.

Yeah, but presumably, being a being of superior intellect, he should have a rudimentary grasp of how space works.

For the sake of the record, I don't hate the first season of B5.  I think it was a good show that became a great show.
