People here denigrate the Stones??? Are they stupid?
People here denigrate the Stones??? Are they stupid?
Yeah, you probably should. I mean, there are a lot of fucking good groups out there, but they're one of them. Some fairly… unpleasant… homophobia, but holy shit they have some good tunes.
I'm a scientist and I approve of this show idea. Please contact me for my availability details.
Hey, The Abyss is a pretty decent film!
Holy shit I just read that whole thing. I feel like I need a shower. With bleach. So, uh… thanks?
The natural French pronunciation (if you're going to pronounce the "r" ending, which is kind of weird) would be to stress the second syllable, so the fucking asshole is right.
You could try toning down the snottiness and insults a few notches, but I suppose it's the internet and we all have to be assholes to each other. FWIW, many of us probably are not that far off your parent's generation. (You're in your early 20's, right?)
@avclub-776e9111d31a090979dd9fc5f382651c:disqus no, this was decades ago. Toronto has a thing for morons in high places.
Yeah, I think it does. Obsession with a band to this level often means an inability to have a sense of perspective.
FUCK YOU WE ARE NOT!
OK well it's definitely not the one I'm thinking of, because he's pushing 40. But I figured how many Canadian bass players who studied music semi-professionally who are big Rush fans can there be?
I had poutine for lunch yesterday. It fucking sucked. The restaurant (which isn't a bad place, so they should fucking know better) seemed to have first poured the gravy, then put the fries on, realized their mistake so added a tiny bit more gravy, then put on the curds on top. So they were still cold. It wasn't…
@everybody:disqus
I think thinking of the movie as "good guys vs bad guys" is really not justified. You want the people in it to get away, and certainly some of the revolutionaries are scary motherfuckers. Both these things are perfectly justifiable - they were/are scary motherfuckers. But those opening few minutes do…
Actually, yeah, that cover is good.
How was his career ruined? Isn't he doing fine now? I mean he quit, but wasn't that because he was sick of being a quasi-rock-star?
Uh… no… only entertainers do that, because that's where the jobs are. Get hairier, you'll do fine.
Said bass player doesn't happen to be a sociology prof now, does he?
And rain. Holy shit it rains all the fucking time. Although we've probably had less than an inch over the past three months, which is crazy bad for farmers and gardens but is awesome as hell for people like me who want to sit outside a lot.
You can't seriously be asking that question. No, Argo was not perfect. Yes, it was grossly historically inaccurate. Sure, there are a few cliches. But it was pretty much universally well-acted, genuinely tense, ambivalent in an interesting way about who was in the right, and Pearl Harbor was a fucking abomination.
Eh, different people, different pinions…
