You are a scholar and a gentleman. Possibly woman. I was fretting over the meaning of this post for SECONDS! Seconds I tell you! And now you've come along and made it almost make sense….

What?
Trainspotting was subtitled when I saw it (in English).
Nope. The speaker/writer does the implying, we do the inferring. Since they chose the word, it's implied, not inferred.
I think it's crazy to think these are ads. You have a grand total of two characters on this page devoted to a movie coming out next week and a couple of thousand devoted to a movie that came out 36 years ago. It's just a neat way of reminding people about some less well-known films, that's all.
I'm not trying to confuse things. There's nothing wrong with that sentence. "But" is the most appropriate word, a better word than "and", because of the implied contrast. If you're going to whine about someone else's writing, please pick something that is actually a problem with their writing.
If you're going to critique other people's grammar, then your own had better be on point (than=then). And you don't understand the use of but as an implied contrast, do you? It's a very standard and well-accepted use of the word.
No, I think they mean but. As in, an implied contrast between it not being worthwhile because it's too easy, and it being worthwhile because it's fun anyways.
Can you give me her number?
Not true, I spent hours laughing at @avclub-7f720bbf75ca938c6adcb570530a0ce4:disqus 's mother.
@avclub-39dd889e0ab668280dbd73c93917e652:disqus I watched In The Loop without having watched either of the TV shows. It was awesome. However from what I understand we're both doing ourselves a disservice by not have watch ITTOI.
@avclub-f7dafc45da369f8581fdf3bd599075aa:disqus I didn't know that about reparD noD, thanks a lot for spoiling it, asshole!
It's quite possible to have a decimal in a percentage. The joke here being 0.75%. Hahahahahahahahaha! Math is funny!
Agreed, it was pretty hilarious, and even more obviously fake than usual.
Yeah, ok, but they don't have the momentum to move bodies more than a couple of inches. People just don't fly backwards when they get shot - they fall over.
So, you mean it's like Thursday?
Not enough to move a 150-pound object, they didn't.
She flies, period. Bullets don't weight much. Every action movie you've ever seen is a lie!
I'm pretty sure most of the hipster kids will at least claim to love them some Mudhoney. And a lot of the Bush comments were pretty fucking critical. But whatever, you can complain about whatever you like, I suppose.
@avclub-362c94df8a8c6b76e42047bc8868847b:disqus yeah, but remember that seasons last years on this planet.
