What review was that in? Not this one, anyways. Are you off your meds again?

@avclub-6997a8bd0e1042b70b60c5c879a1780e:disqus I love the fact that your link to Tolstoy's opinion on Dostoevsky is to Oprah's book club.

Hmmm…  I guess it's the breakbeat and big beat stuff that I love about them - it is those first two albums I keep listening too. Then again, I also liked a lot of the spacier stuff in the clubs, so I can probably tolerate that as well.

Good point.

@avclub-6b8aa777ed70e7f15a45947a0f0c5986:disqus Notice the last sentence of OP.

It also gave use Kylie Minogue, and, uh… Jason Donovan?

Richard Dawkins loves sci fi and hates fantasy, so you're in good company (unless you hate Dawkins, in which case you're not).

Hmmm… I never bothered watching past the first episode of the 4th season, but I'd say pretty much all of 1-3 is fucking gold. There's just several fantastic episodes in the middle two seasons.

Techno/electronica/whatever the fuck you people call it, maybe? I've actually spent many, many hours, mostly in the mid-90's, dancing my ass off to that shit. But I've owned maybe 10 albums, if that, and rarely listen to them (except I still dust off the Chemical Brothers every now and then). But there's just so much

Portal, maybe? Good, snarky fun, probably the best-written script in gaming, and the levels are very carefully designed so that you are forced to pick up the required skills step by step in a linear fashion. And just a fantastic world to experience, and the game mechanics are lovely.

Didn't Leonard Pierce do one? One of the finer things he wrote here, I think.

I cannot possibly conceive how anyone would say Friends is better than Coupling. The level of effort put into a single episode of Coupling, every aspect of it from the camera work to the smallest lines of dialogue, is orders of magnitude greater than an entire season of Friends. It was seriously thrilling to me to

@avclub-35f476bee2f5015ba0269e3b346f2d13:disqus Well, I think the solution is a deeply unpleasant, and completely unproductive in the short term. That is, we don't tolerate it. Instead, we feed those fucking trolls, we never roll over, we explain very clearly and carefully why what they're doing is not ok, we shut the

Holy shit your job is awesome.

Yeah, the "It's the internet" isn't a very useful piece of advice (along with "don't feed the trolls"). People who stalk other people across multiple websites and constantly bring up shit from years ago are not normal, and the behaviour is not ok, and just because it's incredibly common doesn't mean she should roll

Yeah, the jelly donut was awesome

@GenevieveKoski:disqus jesus, people really don't know how to let it go. I can see why twitter and facebook stalking would drive you insane.

You are a fucking scholar and a gentleman of the first order.

And the repeated callbacks to Depardieu's rolls are just fucking fantastic - I got him to eat a roll of quarters, he kept picking me up, etc.

Me.
