Yeah but
My concern with this movie is that a Mandela biopic is inevitable, and Morgan Freeman is obviously the person who should play Mandela in that biopic, but here he is in a different film altogether…isn't he blowing his Mandela load too early?

The Lone Audience of the Apocalypse is correct: Spielberg is incapable of not ruining his movies with bullshit endings. It's been going on since Saving Private Ryan.

I agree with everything you've said.

Johnny is today's winner on the internet.

If Spielberg remakes Oldboy I will kill him.

Everything about this is horrible.

That dude got mad!

I agree, Borat needs to be there.

But that implies that you only need Braveheart once. I mean, I understand and respect what you're saying here, but if we had a new movie every year that was basically "Braveheart in a different setting," who wouldn't be happy?

Totally, Aldus Lando. People backlash for the sake of being different. Gladiator is awesome and that's the way it is.

Yes it does.

Haaaaaaaa…nice job there, Bag of Hammers.

I found it immensely boring, like all Malick's movies. But hey, maybe you'll agree with them instead of me. Probably better if you're into child molestation.

Really? Actually? You thought, say, "There Will Be Blood" was poorly written? I'm stumped, man, I don't even know what to tell you. Sorry?

I'm never cautious about PT Anderson. I remain 100% sure that anything he does will be totally fucking awesome.

Were you not entertained, assholes?
I demand an explanation for Gladiator's exclusion.

Good idea
"The Office" redone as a cop show starring Steven Seagal is indeed something I would watch. I would watch that even if it turned out not to be very good. Maybe some TV execs are reading this.

@Forgetfulness: Brick gets its props on their orphan list.

Seriously, no one has mentioned her ass yet? I don't know what the fuck Lost in Translation was about, but that first scene ranks up there with Elisha Cuthbert in Old School on the list of Best Ass Shots of the Decade, which is a list that I would be willing to collaborate with AV Club on.

Holy shit, Gladiator was this decade? And it's not in the top ten for the decade? What the fuck, AV Club? Next you're gonna tell me Braveheart wasn't one of the top five films of the 90s. Have you no testicles?
