I also thought that it was trying to be a Swiss accent, right? That "r" didn't sound particularly German or Austrian. Maybe they'll go for Swiss-German with "Grüezi" next time?

Don't bate me with a Legend of Korra pic, AV Club! The wound is still fresh.

I love this show and agree with you that it was one of my votes for the "best of" list - thanks for reviewing the finale! looking forward to season 3 :D

The day before's was so incredible that this one was such a let down.

Ryan's a keeper - I hope they hold onto him for at least a season. ;D

Iris is so annoying and seems incredibly selfish. She's clearly not doing this for Barry and seems rather aroused at the Flash's visits. When are they going to kill her off?!

yea it technically is brown explosion - also "schlag" is often used for short in Austria as "whipped cream" so there's that interesting image…

The Paradise surprised me in that it was like two completely different shows first and second seasons. The first season was an hokey but fun period drama with some interesting and fun character development. The second season was an absolutely terrible soap opera with some of the worst dialogue I have ever heard on

I totally agree!

wow I didn't even process that was Michael Cerveris! I've seen him a couple times on Broadway. Castro was such a great enemy to hate I hope he comes back!

Where's Brooklyn Nine-Nine?

I love this show for all the reasons you mentioned! It makes me want to cook more than any other cooking show has before.

Thanks for reviewing! I love this show. One thing - I thought the Petra car scene insinuated that they added the bell boy wall marks to avoid her arrest - or was that just me?

Agreed - Jane the Virgin is AWESOME! And the early season promos were so bad - thanks for the pre-season review otherwise I would have skipped it!

I want more Johnny Elfman - It's a bit weird that he's Eli's sidekick when he's supposed to be running Alicia's campaign.

It's a real shame, because appeals are so interesting in themselves. If this show were to pull a Good Wife and invest effort in the judges' personalities, an appeal would be a great opportunity to examine those dynamics. I wasn't totally sure what Asher forbid, as the whole thing wasn't very clear with his father and

Frankly that appeal was ridiculous - the whole concept of an appeal is that it isn't an investigation unless you're the movie Reversal of Fortune.

I loved this episode - the direction feels right to me. As an avid reader of the Holmes stories, I was always a fan of Elementary's portrayal of Sherlock since the sort of haphazardness of the character was lost in the BBC version. In the short stories/novellas Watson can get particularly irritating as the token

He's another interesting case of the 'return to stand up' season. Unfortunately it's a case of 'playing himself' that will make for some boring characters. I also find him soul-crushingly awkward. I'm also convinced Sasheer Zamata will not last the season…

HA! Totally.
