in this episode I really felt the gender differences - noah's strong gaze at alison versus alison's emotional intimacy through spoken dialogue with noah. I also love that both have a hesitance at speaking with the other in their own narratives while it's the reverse in each other's stories.

I did think Sarah Silverman's monologue was so great! You're right - they have been wasting the talent of the hosts (or hiding the poor quality of others).

Ironically the music playing at the beginning of this episode is a piano reduction of "o mil babbino caro," an aria sung by a young girl to her father pleading after an argument about her lover. Interesting role reversal.
