NAIHF is great. I actually just proposed it for a 33 1/3 book, and the proposal was denied, but I think that one could make for a good book. A good, dramatic story, and a totally underrated (and under-discussed) record.

I wish the lyrics on Accelerate were better, because so much of the music is great. I love Supernatural Superserious, though, and I'll never understand why Hollow Man doesn't get more appreciation.

Wow. Yes.

BUT IT'S NOT FAIR

Man, the timing on this piece is perfect, as I turned on Boston's Oldies 103 last weekend to hear "Voices Carry" by Til Tuesday. When I was a kid, this station played Chubby Checker. I am an old, old man.

Aw man, I'm dumb AND racist. Eesh.

That Breaking Bad reference was pretty funny.

Is it just me, or did Billy Crystal refer to Obama as "the Dark Knight" in that one joke? If it's just me, I'm suuuuper racist.

So good.

Professor Blastoff!

I totally agree. That's one of my top 10 songs, Christmas or otherwise. So gorgeous, and the way it crescendos at the end, with the piano going up and up, and Darlene flipping out, is just awesome. Pure drama and I love it.

This is awesome. Nice work, everybody.

I love that this is currently the only comment on Page 2.

I agree, that was excellent. I was really hoping they would end up doing that for Live at the Olympia.

There are also three (THREE) other tracks from Green on it, and there's only one from Up, and one from Monster. Makes no sense.

Agreed!

Will the A.V. Club be reviewing the new best-of? I'm curious about what you think of the new songs. I also think this is a great compilation, even though the track listing is kind of weird ("Get Up" but no "Daysleeper"?!, etc.).

Fair enough. And certainly any episode that features wasted time (and/or a wasted host - zing!) is a big bummer. That recent one that Doug himself disowned was truly terrible.
