Am I wrong in assuming it was no random act in having Sean "Sloppy Seconds" Avery in the ESPN "That's a dealbreaker, ladies" footage? That's almost a too-inside joke considering hockey is the red-headed stepchild of the sports world.

Roommate
Your mention of the roommate made me pause and think "Was that Zooey Deschanel?" for the briefest of moments. yet it was actually played by Lizzy Caplan and NOT Zooey Deschanel. I watched this piece of shit a few weeks ago and even though I love myself some Zooey, it's hard for me to remember if she was in…
Drinking Game
So how many "Biff! Bam! Pow! 'Wolverine' Claws Way to Top of the Box Office" -style headlines will we see today?
Out of Sight
I was willing to give Jennifer Lopez a free pass at one point for "Out of Sight," but later realized she was just showing us where the peak would be, thereby preparing us for how much we would hate her in retrospect for everything since. "The Cell" pretty much pissed it all away in one fell swoop.
But Colin Hanks gets points for being on "Mad Men."
Just had an expansion on that earlier thought - Nick Lane from last week's episode being paired with Olivia during the Cortexiphan trials would be another "Two Singles Together." Didn't Walter say Bell paired up test subjects in a buddy system so they didn't get scared?
Maybe I'm stretching here, and it's really only half an idea… but the "Two Singles Together" thing shows up right around the time that the idea of Doppelgangers really amps up. I think there may be a parallel.
Shocked
I downloaded "Nothing's Shocking" off of iTunes when I could no longer find my CD and realized that that was the third time - and third medium after cassette and CD - I had purchased the album since 1988. And yes, it really does still hold up. I just wish I could hear it with a slightly different production.
Towards the end I was shocked that I was thinking "Jenna owned this episode." Seriously, I was laughing at most of her lines tonight, as ridiculous as her sub-plot may have been.
Requisite Observer Post
I believe I saw him - wearing a smart fedora - crossing the street near the end? Also, did everyone catch the random "47" callback to Alias on Lane's Wall of Koo-koo?
The irony
The parents will be delighted that he will be writing into his teens, but uneasy that the book will be titled "How to Talk To Therapists."
FINALLY!
That Tron sequel you have waited 27 years for just got a whole lot funkier!
Giving Nathan his due…
Sure, the jokes fly fast and furious (hilarious?) on 30 Rock, but let's take a moment and acknowledge Nathan's "…once her new pal shows her that life can be a permanent vacation, not unlike that Aerosmith album, Toys In The Attic" throwaway line. Nicely done, my friend.
AVC: What do you and Amy do for fun?
Isn't it obvious, since they have a new baby and all? Come on!
Damn Good Genes
Rashida Jones is obviously smoking hot, but I'll go ahead and start the Peggy Lipton appreciation thread. Hot damn, her mom was a fine looking lady. Still is, actually.
Season 3
The packaging of the Season 3 DVD is on my short list of Greatest Things Ever. The inside picture made me laugh out loud as it brought back a flood of memories of sitting in front of the TV playing the Atari.
Voight
His portrayal this season has been consistently great. It's like equal parts Dick Cheney and the Seinfeld version of George Steinbrenner.
I also liked her randomly un-Presidential "I KNEW IT!" when she was told of Jack's innocence.
Nyuk
This is an idea so idiotic it will make "Brain Donors" look like… well, "A Night At The Opera" I guess.
Cuba Libra
Whatever happened to their proposed adaptation of Elmore Leonard's "Cuba Libra?" That would have been a mighty fine film.
