Oh yeah… this is a screencap from that one episode where the Dandy Warhols travel to an alternate universe and meet their evil twins. I loved that episode!

The only way I can give a shit about Phoenix's new direction is if Tony Clifton shows up and kicks the living shit out him. The very fabric of the universe would rip apart.

Roller-skating Hal was a thing of beauty.

Wasn't the whole point of the Lyla Garrity reverse conversion that deep-dicking from Tim Riggins trumps all?

Guest Stars (Spoiler below, I guess)
I was of two minds with that scene - does Fillion's Awesomeness trump James Patterson's Hacky Doucheness?

I laughed out loud at the "Apples! Apples!" part. That's going on Fillion's already-impressive career highlight reel (although, it doesn't really work without the setup I guess).

Maria Bello wasn't suffering in any physical way in "A History Of Violence," unless you count the bruises she got from their smoldering stair sex.

"there's a lot to like in Nashville though."

As a country hater, I have a unique perspective since I entered the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville just about a year ago and actually enjoyed it. But when you take the tour as intended (and we were there during the big Hank Williams exhibit) you make your way through the displays on Cash and Jennings and

100 Bullets would be a great HBO series or movie franchise. I'll buy tickets right now.

Reunion Show
I wonder if the reunion show will feature the deleted scene of Hosea finally raping Stefan in the walk-in after the final judging?

"Paul Newman: Best movie star ever?"
Yes.

Stefan
"…his occasional arrogance…"

Manon
My girlfriend in college had to watch "Manon in the Spring" for her French class and she thought she was being cute when she made me come along. But oh, the naked frolicking of Emmanuelle Beart did make sure that her plan to make me miserable would backfire and I ended up enjoying a movie I never would have seen

That right there…
…was one hell of an interview. Thanks AV Club. And thanks Mr. Soderbergh.

Well they already had the Watchman reference covered.

What about the Simpsons?
Everything's coming up Milhouse!

My girlfriend said "Steven Adler would have been pretty good looking if it wasn't for all those strokes." So he's got that going for him, I guess.

But are there any Richard Branson cameos this time around?
Are there?

Let's back up to Thunderball for a second…
Martine Beswick's death as MI-6 agent Paula WAS off-putting for me, because she was gahddamn hot. Like an Amazon Goddess type. Plus, she was one of the all-dancin' all-fightin' Gypsy girls in "From Russia With Love."
