Just ordered my copy of The Woman Chaser from ABE. Should be here next week. And I actually intend to read Little, Big, despite my aversion to all things fantastical. People's descriptions of it to me make it seem like it's about as "fantastical" as a Vonnegut novel or something.

That's hilarious
I just started reading this a few days ago. It's a quick read. I would recommend people start reading it no sooner than two weeks before the deadline to keep it fresh in their minds.

but I read Clowes' "David Boring" last night and thought it was better than anything of his I'd read (i.e. only Ghost World—eck). Anyone else read it or like it?

I'm not loving the Feist collab too much. It sounds nice, but the lyrics are awful.

Does it bother anyone that he's filming this in digital? I saw the trailer for this before Watchmen and I didn't even realize Bale was in it because it looks so horrendously fucking ugly.

Saw her open up for The National at the Ogden in Denver. Coming in to the show never having heard of her (she was just touring off of "Marry Me") I was blown the fuck away.

Not even "Side With The Seeds." The only song worth anyone's time on that album is "Please Be Patient With Me." I mean, when the album first came out, I liked it a bit, but only when I totally divorced myself from everything I'd liked about Wilco before.

Sure, he's childish and can't get a solo career off the ground, but I'll be damned if he wasn't what made YHF, Summerteeth, and (the pieces he played on of) A Ghost is Born what they were. I lament that he was kicked out of the band.
