I think the ship has sailed on Season 1 Barry. He's just been through too much. We're likely stuck with the current Barry. At least those who'll be tuning in for Season 4 are. I'm out after tonight. I no longer have confidence that the show will ever be as good as it was in Season 1. Ever since the death-of-Iris

HE JUMPED INTO THE FUCKING SAVITAR SUIT!

He didn't lose that fight, not technically. Darkseid knew he was never going to survive that beat-down, and so he cheated by using that electrocution device to turn the odds in his favour. Also, the device only incapacitated Superman; it didn't kill him. We don't know what the outcome would have been if Lex hadn't

And then they overcorrected in the second season by having Superman beat the shit out of Darkseid not once, but twice. Not that I'm complaining. The series finale fight with Darkseid was beyond amazing, especially the whole 'I live in a world made of cardboard speech'.

I also want them to cast Lex. If Lena is going to be regular presence next season, we need to see more of her family. Fingers crossed for the return of the great Michael Rosenbaum.

Also great was Winn swooning over Superman:

Speaking of the costume department,

I don't think he's dead. The showrunners said the second season would see a major genre shift. In other words, it won't be another murder mystery. I do think Perry will be made to sit out a few episodes though.

Jughead's taken his hat off before though - like that time he was shown living in the school building. There was also that time he and Betty were sitting at Pop's and Betty told him about her dark side. I wonder whether the hat symbolises the walls Jughead puts up between him and the world. So far, he has only taken

"Archie breaking glass with his bare fist as if he became Hulk or Superman"

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa implied that Greendale does exist in this universe:

Melissa Benoist AND Madelaine Petsch onscreen together? I wonder if my TV can take kind of heat!

Wasn't it implied that she is (or used to be) a witch? I'm guessing she's just fine. Probably flew out of the window in her enchanted wheelchair to join the Spellmans in Greendale.

Technically ate a burger cake on his birthday.

Yup, reminded me of Superman and Lois (also Supergirl and Lena Luthor).

Same! While I kept wondering why he didn't just try stamping through the ice instead (with one leg, not both), I thought that was incredibly heroic of him. I was, however, a bit disappointed that he wasn't beating the shit out of someone, as the editing of the trailer for this episode seemed to imply.

Aw, I like Reggie! In the comics, his smarminess makes him a perfect foil to the saccharine wholesomeness of the main gang. Plus, anytime he gangs up with Veronica (who can be as assholish as Reggie when it comes to Betty and Archie together) is loads of fun.

Same! Although, now I think about it, that wouldn't make sense. The Spellmans live in Greendale, which is across Sweetwater River. Still, fingers crossed!

What a beautifully off-putting way of putting it *sheds tear*
