I'd say the only outright failure among the episodes authored by Moffat is The Angels Take Manhattan, which simply fails to make any sense at any stage and diminishes the best new villains of the modern series to the point where I doubt they could be effectively used…
'Good looking', I think.
If nothing else, I think that casting Capaldi suggests that Moffat's had some success in his struggle to convince the BBC to pitch Doctor Who as something more than children's programming.
