The song in the background was great too.

Agree. I was cranking up my Snark-O-Matic 5000 specifically for the event.

I had a major crush on Xander at the time The Zeppo aired so I really appreciated it. I love it when they let him be the hero, in this episode and the season 6 finale.

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably read expert review/ newbie comments. I'm just looking forward to talking about it, literally finished the first book yesterday and loved it.

So, question about the TV Club reviews: if I have only read the first two books, should I go to the 'expert' or 'beginner' reviews? Do the 'expert' reviews have too many spoilers concerning books 3-5? (I would like to just tear through them all right now, but school starts on monday so I'm being realistic)

My dad got drafted for Vietnam, but he was a big guy and they told him to lose 15 pounds and come back. He gained twenty. Since my existence may have been negated otherwise, I totally support his decision.

With My So-Called Life and Freaks and Geeks I would say to anyone just suck it up and watch it all, then be depressed along with the rest of us that it didn't take you very long to accomplish that task.

I totally agree about "Flashes",  it gets overshadowed by "The Constant" but both are excellent and "Flashes" not only grips you emotionally but engages your mind. I remember the message boards going crazy in a way they hadn't since season 1 after that ep aired. Also while "The Constant" affirms the idea of true love,

Season 1 is still fantastic. Season 2 gets nail-bitingly addictive toward the end. By season 3 if you accept that you're not watching a 'great' show but rather a 'fun and suspenseful' show you can still enjoy it until the end of season 4. Then… you can probably stop right there and call it good.

TIME FOR SNU SNU

It's really about a struggling show trying to stay on the air and the drama backstage. The fact that they produce a show about sports really isn't that important.

It's really hard for me to pick a "best ever" when it comes to Buffy, but in the category of funniest episodes I'd have to say "Pangs" (the thanksgiving episode). Xander getting syphilis, Spike tied to a chair at the dinner table. I showed my brother and dad this episode first to showcase the wit of the show, they got

"Comfort show" is the perfect phrase for it. I usually put it on when I'm doing laundry or studying. I love Parks and Rec but it needs my full attention because the humor can be so subtle. I don't know what will fill that void when the show ends… Modern Family? Raising Hope?

I'm still confused as to why Whitney Cummings decided to star in her own semi-autobiographical sitcom instead of sticking around to run 2 Broke Girls. 2 Broke Girls at least has an interesting concept and strong leads, I wonder if it still would have veered into the generic laff-fest it is now if she had been around

He actually comes off as very funny and intelligent in interviews, but I think the typecasting from American Pie hurt him more than helped him. Actually that's true for the entire cast of that movie, except for Eugene Levy.

I'm actually pissed that I had to move away from my hometown in Michigan right before a lot of movies started being made there. Not necessarily great ones, but since I have no plans to visit LA anytime soon I'll take whatever I can get. I was still there when the first Transformers was being made and tried to be an

Honestly, her music is nothing revelatory but I actually kinda dig the sound of it. It's like a poor woman's Fiona Apple. If she had kept her mouth shut I might have sought out her album but the inflated sense of self-importance is really off-putting to me.

I never have much to say for these reviews besides "muppets are awesome", but I always read them and learn something new about the history of the sketches and the behind the scenes drama. It's pretty much the only thing on TV Club that I go to for the review itself rather than the discussion in the comments. So really

Well… that was depressing.
