Damon has mentioned how certain characteristics of Elena is like Katherine's a few times throughout the seasons. I hope people are noticing that Katherine is beginning to show her humanity in regards to the Salvatore brothers, while Elena lets them get into seriously deadly situations to save her family and friends.

I was surprised by the Bonnie opening in the show as well. I was half expecting her grandmother to be in that haunted house to help her because that would have been awesome.

I agree. Caring Stefan is still there; he's just being a grade-A arsehole right now to everyone because he doesn't think he should be loved anymore.
He'll be back.
Gosh, I wish Lexi was still around!

Elena doesn't think straight. She always immediately goes to the worst guy in the room with her vulnerable self and says, "Let's make a deal. Trust me and I'll trust you with this most harmful piece of information/weapon," even though she KNOWS nothing good will come of it. EVER.

Unless they kill Klaus first, Tyler is going to die. He is at the true beck-and-call of the bad guy, and no one trusts him now. There is no way he is going to help out the gang (if he was compelled, he could try to fight it off, but it's a sire thing), and Damon won't let him hurt Elena or anyone dear to her, so…

If she was forever dead, wouldn't she have burst into flames as well?
I think it was the same dagger as before…

I don't understand why Elena got Damon to compel Jeremy to leave Mystic Falls AFTER Klaus said he wouldn't harm him again. Granted, Klaus is a manipulative jerk, but he does keep his word - even if it is in a skewed way. Either way, the whole scene seemed kind of forced and only placed so the writers could get rid of

Also, other great quotes from the epy:
"I'm a dirty cop. Of course I'm racist!"

The interactions between Hardison and Eliot were the greatest in this episode. It showed their playful annoyances with each other, while also showing the bortherly love that Eliot has for Hardison by him helping Hardison out without his knowledge.
I also think a lot of their scenes together in this epy had a good

Loved this episode. SO MUCH REVEAL.

That is an interesting observation. Maybe it's because witches have their "ju-ju" power, and the vamps and wolves don't.

Ha! That comment made me snort.

As a hybrid, it appears one is no longer beholden to the sun or moon.

SUCH a good epy (though I have been saying that about every episode this season). The title of this one alone had me giggling like a school girl.

OH, GOOD POINT. You are now my favorite.

Oh! Also! Did anyone else just LOVE (and was kind of shocked) by the fact that the writers did not even slightly draw out Klaus finding out about Elena being alive? I thought they were going to prounce around that for a little bit of the hour before the big reveal of Klaus seeing the doppleganger alive, BUT NO. Within

This episode had me stading up and clutching my chest. That compulsion scene between Klaus, Elena, and Stefan had me tearing up. Stefan trying to kill himself to not hurt Elena was just… heartbreaking.

This episode now has me worried about EVERYBODY. Rebekkah fooling Stefan like that, while Stefan thought he was fooling Rebekkah, was killer. And now they are back in Mystic Falls! Well, shit is so going to hit the fan.

Ha! I didn't mean that kind of a relationship; but hell, if any show can make sexual tension happen between anyone and EVERYONE, it's Vampire Diaries.

There are so many ways this season can go and so many relationships to develop/devolve, my brain hurts. AND I LOVE THAT. Stefan-Klaus. Stefan-Rebekah. Stefan-Damon. Damon-Elena. Damon-Klaus. Rebekah-Klaus. Elena-Klaus. Elena-Rebekah. Katherine-EVERYBODY.
So excited to experience this ride.
