I just rewatched "The Assassination of Jesse James…etc."  a few weeks ago.  I love that movie.  Casey Affleck does such an amazing job in that movie.  Everyone does, really, but he's the standout for me.

I love old westerns.  I need to check out the original.

Well maybe "sucky movie" was the genre he was going for?

Agreed.  It's been a few years since I've seen it but I can't recall what would warrant it being labeled as "toothless".

I agree 100%!  I first heard these guys on Austin City Limits and they opened with 40 Day Dream, and it's still my favorite song by them.

I love Joe Walsh.

Oh I don't want to hear it!  The Jets?  Listen, I'm a Browns fan.  I'd add "long suffering" but that's redundant.  What have we ever had to cheer about, other than a few near-misses in the 80s?

I have their last album and overall I'd give it a B or B-.

I'd say that Polyphonic Spree is probably the closest comparison in that they're a "collective" but less choral, I guess.

Well hold on now, let's define our terms.  I tend to think of "folk" music in the original sense - it's music of the people, handed down from generation to generation.  In that sense old acoustic blues and stuff like The Carter Family and all the old Alan Lomax field recordings would fall under "folk" music.

Hey Dick, the neo-hippie movement has been around forever, and it's reborn every year as college freshman arrive at their new campuses and discover a whole new world of stonerdom.  Of course the "cool" kids are the ones who became hippies in HS because their older brother or sister got them into it after they went to

Agreed.

Ah, the "Detective Special".

My experience with "continental breakfasts" is that it's generally stuff they don't have to cook or keep warm, other than coffee.  So it's usually bad bagels, muffins, oatmeal, cold cereal, and fruit.

In my youth I cleaned motel rooms at a…what was it…I'm blanking on the motel.  Anyway, I did it for about 2 weeks then quit because it was a terrible job (obviously) and the company took every opportunity to screw you out of pay.  This place was a chain maybe a notch above Motel 6.
