I can never look at him without thinking how his character was so shitty on House. For some reason I can't divorce character from actor there.

1. If that's true, that's amazing and
2. If that's true, can you remind me what episode it's from so I can go record my own.
You mean like his entire character arc in season 1?
There were a lot of bra jokes in this episode. Actually there were only two, but it feels like a lot for 22 minutes.
I love it as an acting moment for Braugher, but I didn't love it as a character moment for Holt. The "I'm clearly trying to communicate something" felt too contrived, like they went so far with the social ineptness that it veered into stupidity.
"roiling internal shit" is a great phrase.
You will not be disappointed.
A few weeks ago they slipped in a joke about the VA needing to update their computer systems. That was pretty solid.
Playing the supportive mom role is exactly what a good handler would do in that situation.
I really can't get a read on that situation. She gets a lot of screen time for a character not involved in the plot and not really contributing to her own or Stan's character development. I can't tell if it's because they're trying to show us that Philip's on to something or that he's paranoid. I mean, I guess…
I think Elizabeth feels guilty because she turned the Center onto Philip's shakiness to begin with, but now she genuinely loves him and regrets that.
Is any of that different from being Amish?
That's along the lines of what I came to comment- was Elizabeth just kinda pissed at the Mary Kay lady for reminding her of Young-Hee?
That scene reminded me of Philip/Paige last week. Elizabeth's "Is there something wrong with me?" echoes strongly of Paige's "I think there's something wrong with me" as they open up to their father (figures).
Your handle is a reference to Kyle Cease, right?
The VA really should update their computer system… advice from 1985.
No thanks.
Can we talk about, for a minute, how they decided to push that guy over and snap his neck completely non-verbally? Like, even though their marriage has had issues, P&E have some serious partnership skills.
