I don't think it means he's a threat to her in any way, but we know Pete. Tammy doesn't. Kids learn about "Stranger Danger," right? Tammy barely sees her father; she doesn't know him at all. It would be more weird if she wasn't a little suspicious of him.

In the year leading up to this season, about once a week I would wonder, "Is Paige going to discover their secret basement stash?" This show really stays with you.
