tl;dr: No, they're not authorized and his syndicate held the rights (at the time).

I do my best to pretend those are kill marks.

The gradual depletion of the ozone layer is just Mother Earth doing the ultimate striptease. She started off as a MILF, and is only getting hotter.

There don't seem to be any major horror franchises (save a remake of Carrie) releasing near Halloween this year. The genre appears to be taking a year off.

Not just an 'ethnic' film, it's also looks like it's trying to start a (straight-to-dvd) sub-franchise.

Or, more likely, Transformers fans.

When I was in high school, a friend of mine, who was 6'6" and upwards of 250 lbs got into a fight with some kid. The kid picked up an AC that somebody had thrown out and threw it at my friend. My friend caught it in mid air and casually placed it on the ground. That was the end of the fight…

edit: moved my pointless story below. nothing to see here.

How does that work?

I agree with your overall point. But people who (at a young age) are interested in the history of science or feel an affinity towards scientists do end up studying science more often those who don't. And quirks and dramatically interesting psychological scars afflict characters in every field in drama.

eh, seems like 6 and a half dozen really.

That was really bugging me. If the camera was in the eye, wouldn't the tip of the nose, eyelases, etc be visible at all times. And eyes dart around constantly, we just don't notice it, so you can't just will yourself to not look at your hands.

I think it was just a way of ramping up the horror. I think a big part of how the eye motif ended up happening is because it's pretty terrifying but if you get called out on it, you can weasel about it not necessarily being explicitly gory or technically violent (which is probably why they used it here).
I did

The guys on the typewriters were easily my favorite part of this episode.

Ultron is definitely what I'm thinking. I'm guessing he's going to tie in to the Coulson reveal (ie a dovetailing backstory). Either way, I think Ultron is the theory to beat for all of the dangling mysteries.

So, the TV movie with the Hoff?

*cringe*

People keep using that word 'procedural'. I don't think it means what you think it means. I would say the quintessential procedural was Law & Order, where the plot/conflict was almost entirely driven by procedures. I see the term as designating a firm stance on mundanity vs fantasy. It's different from gritty

I get what you're saying, and agree that with the overall point. But I think the character has consistently shown a 'duty to the Corps' mentality coupled with a sense that Coulson will eventually come through in the end (ie, get the assigned job done even if his methods aren't standard). I think that gives her

For in episode continuity reasons, she couldn't have seen him then. Coulson explained that her handler saw a struggle with an agent, and then saw them both go down (which doesn't make huge amounts of since, but yeah…). Could have happened at some other point though.
