Watching these jackasses fail at film making is nowhere near as fun or painful as watching Uwe Boll fail at film making.

I was kinda hoping they would be so pointlessly obsessive and self-congratulatory that they would do a feature length movie of just John Galt's speech.  Just a guy standing at a podium tediously going on at intolerable lengths about a pseudo-intellectual, quasi-philosophy for 2 hours.  It would accidentally capture

What's TV55? I mean, what (if any) network is it a part of?

I agree.  I never really got the EGOT thing because of the Tony being in there though, mainly because you can only win it with an appearance in a New York play (I think) and just seems oddly specialized in general.  (Though grammies also mean you have to be a singer/actor to get the EGOT, or win the otherwise bullshit

I mentioned above that I really don't understand Louis CK getting nominated for *acting*.  That said, Louis is really a fresh take on writing and directing in a comedy.  They should've gotten both those awards.

I think the point was to remind people they could be watching a much better show, instead of wasting mental energy on the emmys.

I thought it bizarrely awesome.  I would love to see them do episode recaps for shows like Walking Dead (they could replace Talking Dead with Waltzing Dead), Dexter, or 60 Minutes.

Aaron Paul got robbed. I think he's been consistently putting in the best performances on Breaking Bad.  And (obviously) that's saying quite a lot.

That Louis C.K. really shows (to me) the weakness of the Emmys.  Louie is an awesome show, one of the best comedies on.  But Louis C.K. as an actor is passable and even decent.

Like all variety shows, the show-to-show quality varied greatly for both.  There have always been days, weeks, months where Colbert was better.  I kinda think they should have given all those emmys to both shows.  Or just alternated years.

I wouldn't say it was great but it didn't deserve the way Fox treated it.  Add this to the long list of shows Fox screwed just 'cause it could.

Next week.  Dad! moves starting next season.  (Why did that happen by the way?)  If you like Bob's Burgers, the rest of the lineup is probably not for you. The Simpsons has been good again for a couple of seasons (well, it's had good episodes), but it's really only watchable if you can get over how much better the

It's 'who are you wearing'? Adding a whole level disturbing to an already distressing question.

I personally really liked when they went to Japan, one of the few bright spots from season 10 (even though I completely agree that it was had borderline offensive accents and (funny) jokes around lazy stereotypes.  But I don't think you should blame Bart vs Australia for having a bunch of poor imitations that clearly

The magical land of land of Rand McNally?

"Throw Vampires from a Train"
"Vampires of the Caribbean"
"My Little Vampire: Friendship is Magic"

They continued the story in the sequel.  It was bad but it also ends.  So they made a third one that so awful nobody's been able to confirm if it has an ending.

I think a lot of the public's reaction to the diplomatic cables was
brought about by bad journalism.  It goes straight back to the
comparison with the Pentagon papers.  Both of these leaks were, in a
word, long.  In three words: long and boring.  But this is what
journalists (or rather researchers and interns) are

@avclub-02c1dd6ad234773aeffd7f7067784d58:disqus , I heard it had good characterization, was well thought out, and actually used the setting. In other words, it had all the things the musical didn't.  I'm still afraid to check it out but it's good to know it isn't terrible.
