Many years ago my girlfriend and I ate mushrooms with her next door neighbour who lived in an identical-but-mirror-image apartment and we spent the evening going back and forth between the two units, watching some LIfetime movie on her TV and a tape of South Park episodes on ours.

Right before last Christmas, one of my coworkers gave me a big box of VHS tapes that had been gathering dust in her basement (a discussion about one of my favourite Christmas specials – the Blackadder Christmas Carol, which she mentioned she still had – brought this about).

OK, I haven't made one yet (I'm waiting until we decorate the tree next week), but I bought all the ingredients for my traditional festive cocktail that I inadvertently invented a couple of years ago… my friends and I have taken to calling it The Gingerbread Man (because it sounds suitably girly for a pink drink):
