I'm mostly indifferent to the Beatles (I recognize their obvious talent and influence on 80% of the music I listen to, but in practice I don't actually enjoy listening to them) but I've always hated this song too.

I like Lee regular fit straight legs. They're cheap and reasonably slim fitting without being comically snug (but I don't wear cowboy boots so I'm not sure how they'd work in that regard. They look good with Chuck Taylors or loafers, if that helps at all).

We're having thanksgiving at my in-laws' but they're just coming back from a vacation on Sunday so my wife and I will be heading over there first thing in the morning to get the bird started and do the rest of the cooking.
