Agreed… two of my best friends had an all-female zydeco band play at their wedding and it was a fucking blast!

I'm usually only a drunk dancer (but once I'm drunk enough and on the floor, look the fuck out – I'm PASSIONATE), but "Groove is in the Heart" is the one song that will get me out on the floor stone cold sober.

Shatner really nails the rage beneath the surface of that song – I love the Pulp version too, but Jarvis Cocker is too cool and detached for his disgust to really register anything but amusement.

Ha, ha, ha, ha! Oh, he likes eggs!

That reminds me, I made peach pancakes on the weekend and they were a big hit (I didn't think they were anything special, but my wife and daughter loved them).

Y'all are crazy. Zucchini's awesome. I just split them lengthwise, butter the cut side and sprinkle it with pepper and salt and throw them on the grill skin side down – once they're mostly cooked I flip them over but that's mainly for the fancy grill marks.

My favourite local Mexican place makes their guacamole fresh to order and serves it in a big mortar and pestle, so I'm guessing it would be good for that, or hummus, maybe?

Cool! I've been thinking about doing that too because all of those Mountain House dehydrated meals are terrible (I think I had a beef stroganoff one once that was OK, but I might have also been fucking famished and ready to eat anything).

I looked up "spatchcocked" because I refused to believe that it was an actual word, and lo and behold, not only is it a word, but a legitimate cooking term!

Taking my inspiration from a couple of the recipes mentioned here last week, I cooked some chicken thighs in white wine and fresh herbs in a big cast iron dutch oven thing on the BBQ (I cooked 'em slowly away from the heat, then at the very end took them out and put them directly on the grill).
Then I sautéed some

Glamour?!

Just recently I saw some childhood pictures at my mom's house and caught myself thinking "Hey, I wasn't THAT fat" before realizing that everyone else has just caught up to me now.
