When I was in college some friends and I goofed around with guitars and drums and stuff and pretended to be a band. At one point we decided to become an all-male Go-Gos tribute band (called the Stop-Stops) but it turned out none of us actually owned any Go-Gos albums.

Was that at the Kool Haus with Psychedelic Furs? I thought they were surprisingly good except that the sound mix was insanely loud – like uncomfortably, internal-organ-upsettingly loud. But yeah, the hype girl was clearly the most prepared/competent person on the stage.
