Heh… I saw Platinum Blonde and Honeymoon Suite at Canada's Wonderland when I was around that age. I'm not sure which one of us had lamer taste.

I wasn't even trying and I'd already blocked out any knowledge of a Footloose remake. I had to check IMDB just now to verify its existence.

Do you guys get "Manhunter" on US TV? It's fucking hilarious – there's an experienced tracker (the "Manhunter") and a local guide on horses vs. two contestants  (the "Prey") who have to evade him on foot through the wilderness to a predetermined finish line. To capture them, Manhunter has to snare them in his lasso.

Heh… I was briefly interested in a girl in college who was SHOCKED that I'd never seen it and forced her VHS copy on me and insisted I watch it. After a couple of weeks of her bugging me about it (and me deciding for a variety of reasons, including Dirty Dancing, that I didn't want anything to do with her) I returned

Oh man, I hate being in any town where they have those built-into-the-curb sewers. That's a major factor in any house hunting/relocation plans for me.

Yep, probably the best thing I'm going to read all day.

I really hate myself for liking that comment but I have to admit I laughed.

Heh… Motörhead and the Ramones were the first two I thought of, along with Bad Religion (three bands I love, by the way).

See, I'm kind of willing to give Astbury a pass on the Native American mysticism stuff because he seems to have a genuine, lifelong interest in it – it's not just some passing thing that he dabbled in for a year or two then moved on to the next romantic stoner ideal.
