I think Whiplash runs the danger of encouraging Simmons' character's behavior in mentors not blessed with supreme talent themselves.

This movie was thoroughly enjoyable and I'm sure I'll totally forget about it in 6 months. Also, the head villain guy looked so much like Alan from The Hangover, and somehow it worked.

I still think that the proclamation of who her fiancé is being its own paragraph is unnecessarily distracting.
