It's interesting that, for the first time in the series, the upcoming episodes will have titles that are not cuisine-based. Season 2 had a major story switch midseason as well, but kept the Japanese title theme.

I think Fuller sees the ends of Seasons 1 and 2 as perfect endings for the show, though. It seems to be part of his commitment to the horror conceit that he wants the end of the show to be a mega downer. While there was obviously more story that could be told "Will takes the fall" or "Hannibal kills everyone and

Hannibal and Bedelia's scenes bore me to death sometimes.

There's a quote from Anthony Hopkins in which someone has asked him what he was thinking of in order to achieve the perfect facial expression in a (non-Lecter) role. He responds "I was pondering what to have for lunch."

Do people consider A Separate Peace to be essential American literature? It was taught to me in the same breath as books like TKAM but I never hear it come up in these conversations. Fair point! Didn't your original post say middle of S2 to 401?

How spoiler-y is that 5 minute trailer? i've read Red Dragon but don't want too many non-book spoilers.

You seem optimistic.

You mean that the Pegasus being destroyed was stupid? Also, what did you like about S4?

Why do you think that the back half of S2 and the New Caprica resistance episodes are bad? And what about S4 (Which I loved up until the last hour) redeemed it?

I feel like I missed something with this Alanna/Margot thing; was there any run up to this? I feel like two characters we've barely seen interact just had sex out of the blue. Even if Margot is trying to use Alanna for a Verger baby, why did Alanna hook up with the sister of this guy she knows is massively evil? Very
