He's great at action sequences, very stylized and visually interesting. But if he's going to remake Seven Samurai in the Star Wars universe I'd prefer a little more emotional depth. Not that he can't do emotional/character depth, but his body of work hasn't shown me much of it.

I think it could make a very interesting movie to see how the warrior Jedi class deals with the normal people who are just trying to live their lives. The relationship between the Jedi and the regular peons is never really touched on to my knowledge.

I like the idea too, and I also think Seven Samurai could make a wonderful Star Wars story. It's just, I wish they had gotten someone better at pacing and non-action shots to direct it. I also hope they don't buy into the whole "we need to be family friendly!" thing and add some stupid bumbling characters.
