And also lets piss all over the hopeful 'choose your own fate'/'maybe humanity isn't so bad' theme of T2

Not the most famous of people but I met the keyboardist from the Faint at a bar here the night before they were playing - a female friend had started chatting to him first and mentioned he was here, I (possibly influence by a handful of drinks) didn't believe him and thought (for some reason) he was making it up as to

Frigging nudiscuss, I swear every page I open on this site now randomly switches between my original Discuss account from before the great disaster and my twitter account

True, I don't think the show itself is trying to be anything but what it is - and fair play, the joy of culture is there should be many things trying to do many things, everyone should be able to find something that floats their exact boat. But when one comes to a place such as this remembering their are many boats is

This. There are certain podcasts I enjoy and I'll listen to every episode. I don't really care what column they end up in - I don't need the AV Club to validate my already formed opinion on something. However there are certain podcasts that I'm not going to listen to every episode of (YMIW) or ones I very rarely

Yes and one that *some* people fixate upon. As I said, he is an author who has certain things to say on the religious debate - there are many other people one can read who say things similar or opposing. I'm sure Mr Dawkins himself would hate the idea that people blindly consume what he says over anything else, but

Whilst he's an interesting author and an opinion worth reading (in the same way I'd consider plenty 'pro' religious books worth reading - if you want an opinion on a subject it's always worth knowing a wide variety of them) it never fails to amuse me that there are a large chunk of Dawkins' fans who see no irony in

Didn't the promotions for the show mention a story told across 3 times? There may be a chance we'll see scenes set sometime other than 95 / present day

And the UK where Sherlock season 3 episode 1 got 33% of the TV viewing audience

You forgot to mention that the writer DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THAT MOFFAT DIDN'T WRITE THE EPISODE. I don't think you've got that point across so far. Perhaps restate it a few more times

I'm completely ambivalent to all sport, I'm also from the UK so have very little cultural concept of American football. Friday Night Lights is one of my five favourite TV shows ever.

Yeah, it's just a bit less "look at me! look what I'm doing! aren't I clever" than Sherlock

He was also pissed at the amount of dislike Pete Holmes got in his episode.. coughcoughcough

I'd be rather amazing (although no way in hell it'd happen) for them to kill Klaus in this show and on the corresponding VD episode have all the vampire characters just drop dead mid whatever they're doing.
Even if they worked out a way to undo it next week that'd be quite something

I dunno, if the episodes make me laugh I'm quite happy for a sitcom season to be 22 episodes long (I'd totally agree that dramas benefit from shorter, tighter seasons). How I Met Your Mother's framing devise seems to have lead to people applying expectations more akin to those you'd have towards a drama or mystery

I'm really glad you feel the need to remind us of this every week.

Ghostwatch really doesn't hold up, and would be a particularly weird roundtable given it's all US writers who don't even have powerful childhood memories of it (unless it was shown in the US? I have no idea). This article sums it up better than I could : http://franticplanet.wordpr…

"Out Of Africa", I think

Plus it's people mingling whilst drunk that all have a connection thus making introducing yourself to people that bit easier. Plus everyone is looking pretty darn good
