How do you feel about the lack of concepts and the increased "realism"? It seems like what some fans have been asking for since season 3/4. I'm not part of those fans, I love me some concept Community. The best of which are my favourite episodes of any show ever. So yeah I'm not too excited about the return to Season

Good job! I don't know shit about pokemon but I would read all of this if it was about something I knew about. Appreciate the effort.

I wish Todd could review the finale. He has to finish what he started. He has to be there for the (half)fulfillment of the great hashtag prophecy. The AV Club Community Community cult demands it and no that is not a typo.

Community seems like a cable show now. The show is slower and allows for more natural dialogue which is fine but isn't what made this show so amazing in it's best years. 4 episodes in and no concept episode. No hint at an overarching storyline or an endgame for the characters. Where are the rapid fire back and forth

We'll make it some day ielasimov. Someday.

The ad for Last Week Tonight Season 2 had John Oliver saying that the show is gonna be exactly the same. The narrator says the show is gonna be better and more approachable and John says nope, no changes whatsoever. That's as close to a negative ad I can think off and yes I'm aware the show is critically acclaimed so

I don't know that sounds more like a 15 minute Adult Swim show to me. I don't think there's enough material there for a network sitcom.

I agree with the January Jones criticism, she seems out of place in this show. I think we can get used to it but I feel like someone with more comedic experience would've been for the show like Allison Brie or Elisha Cuthbert. I think January Jones is better off pursuing a movie career with serious roles.

Will they also be unable to resolve this one?

Kristen Schaal does not have mass appeal.

What about "Revenue Stream Placeholder Until We Can Cobble Up Some New Original Hit Shows: The TV Show"?

Why not?

What about the fourth wall breaks? Or the "Your The Worst" jokes popularized by Meg(before Parks and Rec even started). I mean reference humour is a really big commonality too, from references to the show's structure, referencing behind the scenes production, subverting common tropes by directly

I'm sick of people like you who've been saying that since season 2. You know which sitcoms don't have constant concept episodes? ALL OF THEM! Go watch something else if your tired of what made Community special.

Actually Community and Family Guy have stuff in common, Community just does those things better.

What annoyed me was Pierce's exit. I think his final scene in that episode is worst scene of the entire series and Chevy Chase should be ashamed for phoning it in the way he did.

Yeah it was kinda poorly/cheaply directed but most of the jokes landed for me. Also I don't know why people made a big deal about it being a dream episode, I thought that was in line with what Community normally does.

That was Gas Leak/Dan Harmon-less paintball so apparently it doesn't count. I liked that finale though, my favourite Community writer wrote it.

Wait this is what we get for the 100th episode? Where are the concept episodes? Are they saving money for paintball?
