To be fair, are there any really authentic portrayals of autism on TV? Max from Parenthood, maybe?

over/under on amount of money a Community kickstarter raises?

Have you ever gone to a party and someone shows up way too drunk already? And they just get worse as the night goes along, annoying the crap out of everybody? That's her whole life.

That's been driving me nuts. The only thing I can think of is "background," but it still doesn't make any sense what "soft in the background" means.

I thought the B+ felt a little generous. I still really enjoyed the episode, though. What, in your opinion, was this show about when you used to recognize it? I only ask because I've been feeling the same way through most of season 5 about not recognizing it, etc…, but I can't put my finger on what it is I'm

I think you're overreacting. There's only 2 higher grades he could've given it. Actually only 1 higher grade, because minuses are made up.

I was just thinking it would be interesting to read a review from somebody who hadn't seen the first D&D, so I don't completely disagree with you, but…

If you found yourself bored with the first half of season 2, this might just not be the show for you. Or you might have just burned out from binging it. I'd say take a break from it for a few weeks and go back to it, because there are some classic episodes in the back half of season 2. Don't know the ep names, but My

Yeah, he was the best part of the episode for me. I loved how committed he was to everything.

He most definitely is. That's the great thing about this show: there are a lot of layers and texture to the characterizations to interpret.

The AV Club is a flat circle.

Totally forgot about AHS. Okay, more shows like this, but not by Ryan Murphy.

I thought that she was actually recreating the detectives visiting the crime scene. Kids often pick up a surprising amount of detail from adult conversations. In a weird way, I saw it as her expressing pride in her dad's job. I didn't look that closely at it, though, so not sure.

I'm loving this 8-episode anthology format. It combines the in-depth character development of a television season with the tension and suspense of a movie.

That was my favorite part of the episode, too. It was such a relief to see Cohle finally get a moment of peace. I never felt like his relentless nihilism was genuine to begin with, As long as he convinced himself nothing mattered he could avoid dealing with the loss of his daughter. It was driving me crazy seeing such

Maybe grounded was the wrong word. I'm having a hard time articulating what I feel is missing from this season. Just for a point of reference, my favorite episode was cooperative calligraphy. The whole plot is that Annie loses a pen, but it leads to all these really wonderful character realizations. I don't know if

I think I need to stop hoping for Community to get back to doing weirdly grounded character comedy and just enjoy it for what it's become. Sort of a comedy anthology show, like a sitcom Twilight Zone.

I still love you, New Girl, but here are some problems I'm having with the current season:

Hrmm. Fox's shows skew younger (hence poorer). Wonder why ABC is so far ahead with the relatively wealthier demos…

If it ain't broke, replace it with New Disqus.
