I would have loved if Sherlock had pulled Lestrade to the dancefloor because they were both alone, not understanding at all what the social conventions of that suggested.

I thought it was a moment where his mask of being detached and uninterested in general social ideas slipped momentarily, and then he caught himself and decided to leave.
It was quite heartbreaking to me, seeing him truly alone for the first time, not even John as around for platonic companionship.
