Oh god please, PLEASE Mark Heap.

His movie was good, I didn't love him. Then when they dub all your lines, that's always going to be bad.

10? He made Mickey Smith a companion. Old Minging Mickey. I mean the guy is an epic fuck-up. He’s so dense that light bends around him.

Davison was definitely the most well known actor cast until Eccleston.
Eccleston was known as a character actor like Hartnell and Troughton, but Davison had already been a TV star for quite some time.

I honestly do think if he'd stayed in the role another year he might be my favorite Doctor of all time.He had such an interesting and different take on him as a damaged person it'd have been fascinating to see what was next.

A literal cliffhanger!

Now I don't blame JNT for all the problems, particularly when they kept slashing the show's budget.
I think he was an ideas person, not a good writer.
I think most of the problems were his feeling obligated to reference everything in the prior series.

I would actually enjoy all the gnashing of teeth xenophobia if they did cast a Yank.

That Johnny Depp should be banned from making any movie involving grease paint.

I don't think Tennant is weasel faced. He looks like an owl.

I don't think Davison was as much effected by a waning career as he didn't want to do so much long term TV work anymore after Who and prior to that All Creatures Great and Small.
Baker's (C) career suffered because he was easily the most disliked Doctor (not his fault, he was written to be unpleasant).
Oddly enough Tom

And it really has to be an unknown or at least a relatively unknown actor who can devote all his time to it.

:throws hat in the air:

Can't he just get over whatever happened? I mean if his issue was with RTD and his cohorts, then they're not there anymore.

Umm yeah, I've watched every episode ever (that are available).

The lack of new villains has been an issue all through the revived series really though.
The only truly new ones with any staying power at all are the Weeping Angels.
Then again I've never really seen the show as being about constantly recurring villains except Cybermen (meh 90% of the time) Daleks (get lost and stay

I can see both sides, and it's curious the RTD rose-tinted glasses nostalgia is sometimes in full effect.
On one hand RTD did do big season long arcs better than Moffat I think, he just didn't ever know how to conclude them, and the show was certainly more willing to be lighthearted and silly.Moffat's seemingly tried

Warren Mitchell as Alf Garnett. He can use disparaging hate speech about Daleks and Sontarans.

Everybody knows I'm the only Time Lord in the village!

I like all except Brian Blessed.
