I just can't stand Ben Whishaw, and I don't get what like literally everyone I know sees in him.

I actually heard one person online complain about how "The Doctor used to be like my dad telling me what to do, not like some smarmy speccy git."

He's been erased from British memories like the American Who TV movie.

I'm still trying to figure who 'my Doctor' was. I missed the show in the old days, was never that into Tennant so I suppose Eccleston?

Well he does look suitably alien.

She might be the most illtempered Doctor since Colin Baker.

Hugh Laurie too, though they'd probably think he was too associated with House now.

I also like Dylan Moran (with Bill Bailey as companion).

Only if it's Mark Heap playing The Doctor as Alan Statham.

I think the choice of going young has practical reasons. The role is so much more physically demanding compared to the the old series that it makes sense.

You forgot the part where after they announce it the fans act like Chicken Little for 5 months and overreact.

Well real change would be Moffat stepping down from writing it.

Yeah I agree. I don't dislike 10, but he's certainly overrated compared to how people talk of him.
You often knew he was acting too hard, particularly in the manic moments.

I'd agree with all this.
Also they have an easy chemistry the way 9 and Rose did,

Where's The Doctor's birth certificate?

Next Doctor will wear a safari helmet and a string tie.

All of these are fine ideas.

No not seriously. Spoilers would be leaking what will result in this.
Did you also complain when they announced Smith was taking over for Tennant?

FOOL! Then they'd cancel Oprhan Black!
