uh I think your coach choosing to kick two field goals from inside the 5 was a significantly dumber decision.

I didn't necessarily think Carrie was fixated solely on Aayan's death when she was readying herself to shoot Haqqani. I thought it was a mixture of everything that man represents, including but not limited to Aayan.

Definitely agree, especially considering they made the door knock into a cliffhanger for the start of this season, but then kinda pulled the rug out from us.

I'm very intrigued by the show, and probably will at least watch the next couple of episodes.

That's exactly what I thought. The woman says something about his dad and that immediately cuts to the naked man.

To me this was the "perfect" season 9 episode.

Was all set to pay $5 to watch it. Then I saw the trailer.

Anyone else disappointed that when Bullock crash lands at the end it isn't the Hogwarts Lake from Prisoner of Azkaban?

I really loved the chemistry with Lily and the Mother on the train. However… since the Mother isn't at the wedding as a guest—she's only there as a member of the band—why would she be on a train to Farhampton on Friday afternoon when the wedding is two days later? If Farhampton is only a couple hours away from NYC (as

The part at the school where Kevin things the playground looks like a sex act was absolutely hilarious. When Jay Cutler said "look at that kid rubbing the balls" I completely lost it.

Way Down in the Hole.

Clearly Aaron Sorkin was inspired by the wacky timeline of season four of Arrested Development since this season of the Newsroom has the craziest jumps with flashbacks, flash forwards etc… (with Maggie's hair clearly being the most confusing).

I wonder if the Washington Monument being indefinitely closed affected their decision to skip Lost Symbol.

But is it funny?

Free Bird and/or Mozart's Requiem (though I'm not Catholic).

Wow I really can't add. March + 3 months = June… for some stupid reason I was thinking July. So yeah I guess this might've been the weekend after the Wednesday assassination. So even weirder it was even obliquely referred to.

Is anyone else disappointed that there was no reference or follow up to Bobby Kennedy's assassination from the last episode? I believe this episode took place a month after the assassination (since Stan said it's been three months since his cousin's death on March 4), so I understand why it wasn't constantly on

I feel like this episode should be graded either a D or an A. But in the end I agree with the A.

I really wish they did a Memento-style season. You could still end the season with Ted meeting the Mother on the train platform like **SEMI SPOILER ALERT**** Guy Pearce shooting you know who at the "end" of Memento. But leading up to that still have flash forwards and flashbacks and a "now" story of the wedding.

Only slight wrinkle about that scenario (which I do like) is there was a flashforward a few episodes ago of Ted, with drink in hand, gazing up at the band during the ceremony. So he definitely does stay for at least some part of the reception. Plus, doesn't he have to wait get to the Train station after the band is
