Love R&B and Blues. However, when examining the history of blues, R&B, and Rock, it's important to understand that the 3 chord 4/4 template that the earliest forms of these American styles of music used comes from Europe. It's the application of African style and technique to the European template that is really the

It's also weird that she calls him a writer/composer. Sure he wrote and composed a ton of songs. His main strengths were playing guitar and singing, though. Not slamming his writing at all….but "Diddley Diddley Dum Dum Dum Da Diddey" isn't necessarily strong writing.

It almost makes me want to see this plate collection…errr…I mean film

Yeah, I have to separate the artist from the artistry….there are too many country/blues artists that I love who were real murderers/felons/etc. Every account of Ira Louvin I've read portray him as an asshole. His high harmony singing is practically the best in the business, though.  Elvis was a big fan until Ira went

There was this place in my neighborhood that made table side guac. It went out of business, although the place was always packed. I found out later that the owner got into legal problems because of his associates (el cartel). Grrr! Place is still closed. They also used to have a full mariachi band with matching suits

The controversy is really about her lack of ass, and her ridiculous attempt to shake it.

Twerking

LarsonE.Whipsnade…what's with the name calling? I didn't get that impression of her at all.

I looked up Miley's performance because I heard it was shocking, and I was horrified! She can't dance and she dresses funny. And what's with the teddy bears? The whole thing looked like a bad cheerleader routine. The media promised me sexy dancing and failed!

Yeah, Sound and Vision tour was great. I saw Bowie 3 times in Detroit…..and The Sound and Vision tour was the only time I saw him where he played "Panic in Detroit".

"What In The World" from Low was written for Iggy, but discarded, and then reworked as a Bowie tune using the raw tracks. If you listen to it, Iggy's vocals are still very clear…it comes off as almost a duet.

Ack! I saw that Glass Spider tour. What a steaming pile that was…..I still want my money back!

Can't Tyler Perry give Spike some cash? It's a shame to see Spike begging for money.

I saw Ringo's first All-Starr band. It had Levon Helm, Rick Danko, Dr. John, Joe Walsh, and Billy Preston. Talk about a great band! Totally worth whatever I paid for it.

I haven't always been a fan of Paul's solo work (although some of it is unquestionably great)…but when I saw him in concert 7 or 8 years ago, he was awesome. As far as solo work by Beatles…none of it is really as good as the Beatles together. I do like a bunch of John solo work, but he wasn't very prolific….he was

Haji…..mmmmmmm! anyone know where they're keeping the body?

I just got Kaylan's biography. I'm only up to the Turtles part….but so far, an entertaining read. Flo and Eddie were great with T-Rex, as you said.

I checked it out from the library and felt ripped off

Who?

I would buy this immediately….not download it for free…I would pay actual money for this collaboration!
