I won't rest until Link Wray and the Wraymen are inducted!!!!!!!!!!! (the guy practically invented the power chord). Hell, Rumble was banned by many radio stations despite having no lyrics. Grrrr! Is Dick Dale in yet?

I used to download comics, until even free comics became too tedious to read. I guess I can't suspend my disbelief anymore.

You must not have heard his last record, where he covers "Michelle" by the Beatles. I was embarrrassed for him…and me for listening to it.

It depends on the sideman. Smokey Robinson's guitar player, Marv Tarplin, came up with the catchy hooks for tons of Smokey songs. He was given co-writing credit and continued to work with Smokey until his death a couple of years ago.

I also grew up in Detroit (late 60's-early 70's). You could hear Motown all day going from one radio station to the next. On AM radio, too. When "Songs in the Key of Life" came out, you could literally hear Stevie Wonder 24 hours a day. Great stuff.

I was at a record store in Memphis where they were selling bricks from the old Stax Records building. I paid $10 for the brick and a "certificate of authenticity". Later that day, I drove by the location where Stax used to be and there was piles of bricks. Lol! I got out of the car and grabbed another one.

No mention of the Contours' "First I Look at the Purse"? One of Smokey Robinson's most poetic songs "I don't care if she has a rash, I'm just looking for a little cash"
