Try saying "Ferengi Phyllis Schlafly" three times fast…

SPOILERS FOLKS! I just learned Dax dies.

Isn't he the guy who sells Michelin Tires?

Yes, you could say, 'double sens', I suppose… I understand it, at least!

Sorry, @avclub-79557cb93066f4470b8cee6e9110f757:disqus  in French it is only 'sperme'… We can say 'semence' but it is a much broader term…

In brief- they don't fine non-union productions, they just can't use union people, that's all.

The Problem with the azter BSG was very bad risks taken in the late-middle BSG (All Along the Watchtower, The FInal Five)..

There is some truth to Buckaroo's argument, but it leaves out one fact- It is the job of good, professional film making to know what is possible and what is not. When you can't do it that way, it looks crappy, it knock people out of the story, then you do it another way.

I believe it was Bradbury who stated that any science that is sufficiently bad would be mistaken for a Religion…

That's only because I never call anything dirty… unless it wants me too… ;-)

They prefer to be called "Porles"…

Ah yes, the transitive property of pretentiousness…

OH you have to, alright! You have to!  ;-)

Are you kidding, @avclub-d7f43e1fb2d4977c86163d9b0cb07814:disqus ?
I dunno how your friend got away with it, but you'll get bounced out pronto!

Not sure how much of this is really expressing your philosophy, but if so the 'cynical' 'copying' 'unoriginal' bit is for the birds.

Give em DS9 'comic' and under valued silliness as opposed to TNG's 'Terrifying and Mysterious' Ferengi silliness, with electric whips and headache machines…

"…I think the weird tonal dissonances are one of the reasons why that
episode goes way beyond offensively bad and into…whatever’s beyond
offensively bad."

I see your point, and even agree with it as far as it goes, Yuri but it's  bit like preferring vomiting on a full stomach as opposed to an empty one because full you have 'texture' and the occasional 'surprise'!

What's that great game where you say "Allamaraine, count to four. Allamaraine, then three more. Allamaraine, if you can see. Allamaraine, you'll come with me."?That is really, really cool!

I feel obliged to point out,a s the resident Frenchy, that we do not say 'double entendre' in French… For this meaning we say 'sous entendu' which means 'heard beneath'…
