Interesting, but isn't it The Lion rather than Mons Meg which kills James II?

With history in general, although with The Tudors and The Borgias already been and gone it seems a bit derivative, I'd always thought The Stewarts would make a good tv show in and of themselves; lots of murder, assassination, war and power-plays. If I remember rightly the "Black Dinner" is one of the inspirations for

I always thought Christopher Eccleston would make an excellent Spider, provided he could pull off an American accent.

Tom Henderson.

They invented gayness!

Not sure if Edmure can stay Lord Paramount; he's a rebel and a traitor, and bending the knee might not be enough, even if we assume Joffrey's autocratic tendencies are held back.

I found Douglas more one-note than Denholm, to be honest (he's thick, and he thinks he's a lothario). Maybe it's just my antipathy to Berry (He's ENUNCIATING certain WORDS. Isn't that FUNNY?)

"I shall do immediately…"

One of the things I do rather like about the IT Crowd is that it is a show containing Noel Fielding that is not aggressively terrible. Hated Boosh, hated that thing he did on E4, hated his run on Buzzcocks. But Richmond is very low key and rather sweet.

Both, surely.

This may or may not be due to the input of Dylan Moran; Graham Linehan only co-wrote the first season of Black Books.

Ted, the ants are back.

"These first two episodes also highlight the season’s weakest element: shouting, would-be motivational-speaker boss Denholm."

Not so much law as a very, very deep-held and honoured custom, if I know my feudal societies. Guest right matters.

Walder Frey might not want to be Lord Paramount of the Riverlands, but he has fuckloads of useless sons and grandsons he wants out of his court; what better way to do that than by arranging it so one of them gets Riverrun?

Prisoner, most likely. Since the Tullys rebelled against the Iron Throne, I suspect that Edmure will no longer be Lord Paramount of the Riverlands. Maybe that's what Tywin promised Frey?

A man only does pilates on a Wednesday.
