I remember really liking Paula Poundstone back in the late 80s or early 90s when she was big.

Alison Brie and Jason Mantzoukas definitely need their own podcast. For me, the best line of the show was: Google: The best way to Bing something. I like that mocking Bing is the recurring joke whenever he's on now.

They almost found a groove with the character at the very end when they had to strap him down and he got enraged. But that ended pretty quickly.

Maybe I had to watch whatever season of American Idol this
character was from to really get it, but having no frame of reference for the
character coupled with the entire point of the appearance being to not tell the
story of why he was kicked off of American Idol was not engaging. Someone I don’t know using the same…

Agreed. A whatever episode punctuated by a great "Get the fuck out of the tree!"
It really is excellent. And it has a high re-readability factor, so those $20 a pop get paid down pretty quickly. I've read the series three times now (generous space between each visit) and get something new out of it each time. Or find myself excited to revisit the Cereal Convention arc.
You know, I'm kind of indifferent to Bobcat Golthwait's movies, but I appreciate that he's out doing his thing and if it's for you, cool, and if it's not, also cool. Every time he pops up on a podcast he just comes across as a great guy. And his advice to his daughter about taking advantage of an opportunity in…
And it shows that if you’ve got a sexy lady in your band,
Bill Bixby and Buddy Hackett will give you prizes.
I still listen to and enjoy PCHH weekly, but I think you hit the nail on the head with what irks me about it: that they're all so delighted with each other. It's very…NPR.
I don't know, maybe she's just not for me, but I think I actually found Chelsea Handler the person more terrible than Chelsea Handler the TV host. She seemed to flip back and forth between off-put and disinterested throughout the episode. And, most importantly, she wasn't at all funny, even when she tried to be.…
Ditto. I was actually interested in checking this out after St. Clair and Parham's podcast blitz. Jessica St. Clair is hilarious.
I'm sad to say that I may be hitting the "Unsubscribe" button on Mike and Tom Eat Snacks for the reasons listed in the review. What were once the compelling reasons to listen are now what kills each episode. The tangents, the "viewers" gag, all of it is becoming so predictable that I think I can actually start…
Glass had that "I'm not angry, I'm just extremely disappointed" parental tone when he was talking to Daisy. It was awesome and unsettling all at the same time.
I'm totally watching this right now, for the same reason I watched the Star Wars Christmas Special all the way though: I don't know. But this is amazing. Splinter's slow-jam, "Skipping Stones" while doing what looks like some sort of Tai Chi dance is exactly what this afternoon needed.
Johannsen's shock was pretty funny and almost endearing in his not wanting to describe the movie. I wonder how much his mind will be blown when he learns there's a sequel.
Didn't it have Ice-T? For some reason I feel like I remember Ice-T in that movie. Along with a magic flute, which is pretty hardcore in da hood, obviously.
@avclub-6beb5f589a9fd04c21fcd50db3d9c80c:disqus I'm pretty sure American Psycho is another Graves album. I've never heard it, so I can't vouch for it.
