All those shitty movies come to mind …

I loved Carmella in France.  That was a pretty true experience, going to Paris and being awed by its beauty.

I actually kind of like this show but something's so WRONG with it.  It's pretty well summarized by those opening credits:

Yeah, it wouldn't make sense if I was talking about Japan because the article says he's a Japanese stand-up and I wasn't contradicting the article.  I was just pointing out something I heard about another Asian country.

A friend from China told me they do not have a stand-up comedian tradition as such, though they may have MCs who tell jokes before introducing a juggler or whatever.  Maybe that's different recently.

Bat-Mite.  or Mite-Bat.  Or GTFO.

From the posters I thought it was Shelly Long and I was shocked to see her looking exactly the same.  This show looks like unwatchable shit.

I guess the earth's yellow sun can't fix Kryptonian dental work.

I kind of remember it doing a lot better than people expected, both critically and commercially, but then Jonah Hill said it bombed and people hated it, so I guess it did both of those things because his roast was really funny.

No, it was Matt Damon.

God forbid you find out for yourself.

America having done something wrong in the Middle East is a pretty far cry from "the U.S.’ economic and political climate is more culpable than not for 9/11", my friend.

>>>First of all, calling a TV show "literary" as a comment on its quality is precisely what's besides the point.

I started rewatching The Wire recently and—I know I'm gonna take a lot of heat for this, but I swear I'm not trolling—it is so vastly superior to Breaking Bad.  It is smarter, denser, richer and understands its characters better.  What does Breaking Bad do better than The Wire?  Thrilling action sequences and insanely

I don't think it's cynical.  I think he legitimately thinks he's making funny movies.

Excellent.  (tents fingers)

"Hey now!"

I'm worried about Tim Cook's managerial impotence.

I wonder if he'll continue his streak of ditching his significant other for the star of his new movie.

Y'all haven't heard her side.  It's wrong to call her a "bitch" without hearing the other side of the story.  It's a complex legal situation which Marc Maron, much as I like the guy, is not qualified to ferret out.
