I think the narration in early seasons was a lot less about stating the obvious and more about Dexter's snarky comments and a bit about showing how his mindset was in some ways disconnected from normal human feelings in some cases and, conversely, how sometimes he would tell himself he had no feelings or attachment

I keep expecting this show to reveal the Brain Surgeon to be Vogel herself

I like how Dexter seems to have moved past that seemingly clueless demeanor from last week.

I'm really hoping that the antagonist of the season will be a serial killer who only kills serial killers.

Then you're surely not going to like that Vogel is the psychopath who forced Sussman to kill before killing him.

I want my sister back, you son of a bitch!

Well, they were right about Freud, at least.

Degrassi the Next Generation, Da Vinci's Inquest, Due South, and SCTV were all Canadian shows or, at most, some American production/funding for a some seasons.

I suppose you could make a case that this is the most worthless episode of The Simpsons from the classic years, but there is no way that this is the most worthless episode of The Simpsons, period.

And then they start flashing back to stuff that happened earlier in the same episode.

@Chronomage  incl. Lost in Translation?

Say, Bob, do I have any openings that this man might fit?

Many people there were part of the counter culture were homophobic, too.

This joke works even better (or worse? differently) if you know what whole milk is labelled as in Canada.

@dcp  Tyrion has dismissed talk of the supernatural, especially the alleged otherworldly dangers from north of the Wall, as "snarks and grumpkins".

Young lady, cow hearts belong in a butcher's window, not the classroom.

Homer: All right, pal: where'd you get the sugar for that tea?

I thought this was the Simpsons expert thread. Or is this the newbie thread?
