I would be happy if we never saw the Daleks again.

With enough imaginative mental contortionism, you can make the plot make sense. The metaphors for electoral politics and coercive government really hold together when you think about it.

The Queen is going to have to deal with herself. She's a person of conscience that made a horrific error in judgement that she will now have to live with the rest of her life, barring that she doesn't erase the memory.

I'm forgiving of the 'kitchen sink' feel to this episode as it managed to say a lot about the Doctor and Amy Pond. Also, all the disparate elements managed to make the show surprising. I had no idea where the story was headed because I was so busy putting together the peices of the story.

Smith is much more twitchy than Tennant, but the similarities are also writing and casting issues. Their writing him as Tennant's doctor with a few extra non-sequiters, and they cast another skinny young-faced man with floppy hair.

Next Season: Zachary Quinto as William Bell.

Roger Ebert gave this film three and a half stars.

Doctor Who is my favorite show right now. This episode did so much in such a short period of time. The giant eyeball spaceships threatening the world were totally unnecessary, but overall, it was a blast of an episode.

I humbly disagree on episode 2. I enjoy metaphor driven sci-fi.

Supernatural: Dukes of X-Files or humanist manifesto?
Michael the Archangel senselessly kills 2 people in the beginning of the episode. Demons are human souls distorted and perverted to evil by a former angel. Every supernatural aspect of this show is bad for people, except Cass, who is becoming more human every

Hurley is not a subtle guy. To write him not saying what is on his mind wouldn't fit the character.

Whidmore says specifically, that he's sending Daniel to the island so the island can heal him. I don't know how less-retcony you can get.

Just because to MiB and Jacob oppose each other, it does not mean they are similar.

I like Rebecca Mader. She seemed to be really engaged in the character and the work and the script despite the fact she had little to do during most of her time on the show. I totally believed that her character was obsessed with the island.

I agree with Noel.

I've been hoping that this show keeps to its multicultural pan-theistic themes, and doesn't become a show exclusively about Judeo-Christian myth. That would be very boring, and the show would lose meaning to a lot of people. Damon and Carlton could come up with a better mythology on their own anyway.

The runway is a really important clue as to how well Jacob plans in advance. It means that Jacob knew that the Ajera flight would need to land there before the Oceanic 6 left the island. It doesn't say he knew who they were, but he knew that they would be coming back before they left.

This is a very silly theory.
