Be careful with the word theory
Samantha you say, "While some of his ideas are still unproven theories, he presents detailed evidence for his underlying principle…" What meaning of theory are you using here, the rigorous, scientific one or the common, detective-story one? It's a minor point, but I get bristly about

As a youth, I formulated my own phonetic lyrics to the German songs on Falco 3 which I would sing enthusiastically. Was convinced that he would continue to have crossover hits. This concludes my MBS impression.

Well said, I'm with you all the way. When the bottom three couples were announced, I thought to myself "Victor and Karen would make an interesting couple." And there we are.

I was hoping they'd praise Kathryn (that drop to the floor was awesome), but bag on Legacy for his - wait for it - lack of stamina. Coming at the end of the routine, that lift-spin thing was a test for him and he dropped the girl. It's not fair to compare, but Brandon and Jeanine were miles ahead of this routine. I

It hardly matters. Due to the legal limbo of this season, the designers didn't show their faces at Bryant Park (or so I was told) so as to keep the mystery of who the finalists were. Though, if you saw the examples printed in Entertainment Weekly almost a year ago, it was fairly easy to tell who they were based on

Absolutely, as soon as Jakob & Ashleigh started I said, "Is that Relax?! Stacey's done it again," and was distracted for a full 30 seconds. The folky mush that frequently backs the contemporary pieces tends to drag them down for me and I have to watch a 2nd time to focus on the dancing. Compare this with Sonja who

I dream of a chorus of AVC commentors trouping in to Kevin's restaurant, singing "Silver and Gold", and watching him turn beet red before bursting into happy tears.

Dogstyle, I was wondering myself why so many people who didn't like this show spent so much time mocking the fans and dancing on its grave. I used to discount the notion that there's a growing number of people who seem irritated by the joy of others. Then I really looked and saw it all around. I've dropped friends

I admit that I'd cottoned to P&P (non-glurgy Mollee&Nathan) cuteness and liked their quickstep on first viewing. On 2nd viewing Donna is right in that they were belabored, but I still say cut 'em slack as the judges did in critique - it was still better than Vitolio and ? last year (my only point of comparison). I

Vote getters
Russell & Noelle, obviously. I'm suspicious of routine order, clearly this was intended to be the bright spot to end the show on. Nigel at least has to know how the rehearsals are going. Kathryn & Legacy, cute, good "growth" story. Karyn & Kevin, mostly for her hotcha. Pauline & Peter, adorable, spilling

Ashleigh's red pants, yes! When she first appeared from the waist up I thought," She's looking good this week," then the pants and, "My eyes! My optic nerves are on fire!"

Credit Adam for setting the tone of the judging. I have no evidence, but my gut says he pushed for this before the season even started. My one complaint about him is the interrupting. The set-up of the show isn't really keyed toward back-and-forth between the judges unlike say, Project Runway, and it made me wince

What's off-putting about Jakob is that he's got severe gayface (and I say that as a card-carrying lover-of-men myself). Where Brandon could stow that and put on a deeply-pissed-and-sexy look for the tango or paso doble, Jakob's inner light just shines on through. Aside from his flexibility and leaping, he does nothing

I was going to cite Tyce's All That Jazz routine from the finals last season as a good one, but then realized that it was indeed Brandon and Kayla that made that one shine. I saw them do it on the tour and it wasn't as impressive (though that was partially because Brandon held back saving his energy for his SEVEN

I'm with Donna as to the Wade routine. It looked expansive and powerful in rehearsal (probably because I was watching Wade), yet meager in performance. I didn't hate it, but I did think back to crash test dummies and this didn't live up to that lovely weirdness. Still, Peter impressed me by totally committing to it.

If you look at Bianca when she's relaxed, she still has high shoulders, I think it's her build. Yes, she does raise them, but it's more noticeable due to her build. I'm peeved she was cut, Philip I get, but Bianca had such a great personality and I think could have grown. Of course Nigel was pissed that two tappers

There's also that fact that most commercial breaks are two minutes long (less true now, especially on networks like MTV). Tivo has/had a function (not sure if it still exists) that you could set up so that it would skip ahead 30 seconds with each button push.

I've had my Tivo for almost ten years now, but almost immediately after I was bowled over by the awsome-ness of it (three days maybe), I couldn't *not* FF through commercials or weak monologues of say Conan. Even if I'm home and on time for a show to start, I still let the Tivo start recording and just start watching

Billy had mono
Billy was diagnosed with mono and though no longer contagious, his recovery requires no risk of abdominal trauma, so he was replaced. More details here:

Not so enderjed, I came here specifically to point out out Huertas' Gen Kill costume. Glad someone else caught that.
