I'm with Donna as to the Wade routine. It looked expansive and powerful in rehearsal (probably because I was watching Wade), yet meager in performance. There's also that fact that most commercial breaks are two minutes long (less true now, especially on networks like MTV). Tivo has/had a function (not sure if it still exists) that you could set up so that it would skip ahead 30 seconds with each button push.

I've had my Tivo for almost ten years now, but almost immediately after I was bowled over by the awsome-ness of it (three days maybe), I couldn't *not* FF through commercials or weak monologues of say Conan.
