It bothers me that Caroline spent way more time organising things for her dying mother than actually spending time with her. The past few episodes could have been a great opportunity to really showcase Caroline and Liz, but instead we just watched Steroline bonding in increasingly ridiculous situations. So…

The writers seem to be centering all their storylines around the two of them being together, not the circumstances that are bringing them together. Kai/Elena would be refreshing compared to Delena. Although Kai would end up being the more likeable of the two.

Yeah, especially since Luke was never overly helpful to the Scooby gang unless he was forced to be. If anything he caused more trouble for them by regularly disrupting their plans.

Which might be true…? Although he really breezed over the legit disaster that was the sire bond, where he made her turn off her humanity.

The Ghost reference is another reason that I love Kai. His 90's references bring joy to my heart.

Oh my gosh, I really do wish he would go all AHS on everyone. Although then we'd have to watch Elena cry/mope for about 4 episodes before they somehow all returned from the dead. Again.

Even Kai pointed out how much Elena has changed. And not for the better….

The Steroline scenes are making Caroline come across as selfishly as Elena usually does. All of her storylines now revolve around finally dating Stefan, including the ones that involve her dying mother. For all her faults, I'm pretty sure Caroline would be more focused on her mother/Bonnie then spending time alone…

I love how Jeremy was concerned about Elena being okay if he goes to school. They spoken, what, approximately 4 times in the past 2 seasons? You're not a Salvatore, Jer, so she'll be fine without you.

Totally agree about Caroline & Stefan. Caroline didn't spend the day with her dying mother so she could attend a party, which she instantly ditched. And to go find a teddy bear? And Stefan followed her because…? Their storyline was confusing and clearly only existed to set up their ship.

Matt's face when Enzo was explaining his plan was priceless. Why does Enzo need a middle man anyways? Couldn't he just talk to the girl himself?

I just can't with the ships anymore. My eyes hurt from rolling them so many times this episode. And writers, can we chill on the Liv and Enzo storylines? Their pathetic vendettas are poorly written and incredibly boring to watch, especially since I could care less about either of them.

That was the perfect summary of the entire Traveler storyline.

The downside to the merge is that the writers never really gave Luke much of a personality to begin with. He was a wasted character, simply brought in for random scenes to propel a story forward. I doubt Kai will change much, because what traits were there to absorb?

I would totally ship that relationship.
