Transparent was not for me, not at all. I found it dull and found it hard to care about anyone in it.

How did you manage to write about 1995 and not mention Rocket From The Crypt?

It's a watchable if deeply mediocre show as far as I'm concerned.

I think most of hate is just the commentor clowns who now straight up hate anything Tom Scharpling has ever done/will ever do because he did what they do in comment sections right back to them on air.

Dearest Mr Contrarian. I live in England so I know all about the TV networks and how I fund the BBC. And yes we do have private TV channels. Many of them. One of them is called Channel 4 - this is not the same as BBC4 - This is the network that shows the programme Big Fat Quiz of the Year.

Hey Matt / Matt's editor: Big Fat Quiz of the Year isn't a BBC show. It's on Channel 4. In case you want to change that and have a correct article. There is ore than 1 network here, ya know.

John will always give you some half truths and tall stories so let's wait and see on the hand stamping.

Seconded. It's either a joke or maybe the writers did some research got confused and thought the crown made it 3. But it's 2 and anyone in the UK would say as much if you asked them in the street

Actually I would say a week without Gary the Squirrel on the Best Show is exactly what was needed. I like Gary and all but his shtick can be a little much and very repetitive. Less is more!

Istanbul has dropped it's plan to bid for the 2020 UEFA Soccer tournament in favour of the Olympic bid so I would not assume their bid is half assed

    Great article Todd!

Appreciate this thread is months old but in reference to:

How on earth did you not mention the Marked Men in that review?

Really?  You missed a good one. As usual, streets ahead of the majority of the LA based podcast detritus you all give so much time over to.

No Best Show on WFMU in this week's list. What gives?

To expand my previous comment I now have: Liz Lemon, Casey Klein (good call @Brett_B:disqus) and April Ludgate.

Liz Lemon. Seriously. She has me mesmerised.
